Frequently Asked Questions

What is Counsel Circle?

Counsel Circle is a confidential peer mentoring program created specifically for attorneys. We bring together small groups of lawyers at similar stages of their careers to share experiences, exchange practical advice, and support one another in navigating professional challenges and opportunities.

Who can join?

Counsel Circle is open to attorneys across practice area, industries, and firm or company sizes. We thoughtfully group members so that each circle is comprised of peers with aligned experiences and goals. This ensures conversations are both relevant and mutually valuable.

How do the mentoring circles work?

Each circle meets regularly by teleconference in a confidential setting to discuss topics chosen by the group.  A facilitator helps guide conversation, ensures equal participation, and keeps the group focused on practical insights and problem-solving.  Members gain perspective, accountability and steategies they can immediately apply in their careers.

Is individualized coaching included?

Each member of a Mentoring Circle receives a 1:1 coaching session with our founder, Marnie Seif.

How much time is required?

Circles typically meet once a month for 90 minutes for a period of six months.  Outside of the sessions, no additional preparation is required, though many members choose to connect informally between meetings.  We designed the commitment to be meaningful yet manageable for busy attorneys.

How much does it cost?

Counsel Circle costs $1500 for the six month mentoring circle.

What makes Counsel Circle different?

Unlike traditional mentoring, Counsel Circle is built on the power of peer connection.  Instead of a single mentor-mentee relationship, members benefit from the collective wisdom of a carefully matched group of attorneys who understand the challenges of practicing law.  The confidential, structured format is designed to foster candor, trust and long term professional growth.
